Day 1
Oct. 6 Monday
Hi All,
As you can see above we have a real plane
load with us on this trip so set back and fasten your seat belts and lets get
this show in the air.
Most people, when they fly, try to get as few stops
as possible but look at all they miss. We, no they, decided to give us the grand
tour going out to Phoenix. We got here but in a round about way. First we flew
to Atlanta, then to New Orleans, then to Houston Texas and then to Phx Az. Ok
what do you expect with cheap tickets.
First flight into Atlanta went great, in fact the
gate we flew into was right next to our next gate. The odds of that in Atlanta
are about 1000 to 1.

However taking off from Atlanta was a little nerve
racking.
In takeoff about 1000 feet up there was a funny
noise like air going out of a tire and for a second or two the plane started
dropping. Then the pilot must have woke up and the plane quickly picked up
speed. It's amazing how long a second or 2 can be.
By the time we all cleaned our pants we were
landing in New Orleans.
This was a very small terminal and again our gate
was right across from where we came in.

Next stop Houston. Here we had the shortest
layover, 40 mins, and our plane was a little late coming in and of course
our gate for
PHX was a mile run. We made it but it was the final boarding call.
Leaving Houston was a little hairey because we had
to fly around some bad weather. The first 20 minutes were real rough. You know
it's not a good thing when they tell the stewards to stay in there seats and
stay buckled.
An hour into the flight it got smooth and cleared
up.
This is over Texas you might as well live on the
moon.
A lake in Texas. I hope no one ever tells them what
a real lake looks like. Ok the picture is not great but at 28000 ft and 600mph
what do you expect.
I think the government uses this mountain for
target practice.
We are now over New Mexico. So I think this must be
area 51.

Ok got into Phoenix right on time and are looking
forward to picking Sue up tomorrow.
